"I don't know how long I'll be going without a job," said Mr Neo Chue Eng, a 58-year-old vendor at the Sungei Road flea market.
Reacting to news that the market will be closing on 10th July 2017, Mr Neo is among some 300 other vendors who will have to find a new source of income when the time comes for them to leave the place.
The market, more commonly known as Thieves' Market, has been around since the 1930s. An old market with a unique character, vendors set up their stores along the streets without paying rent, offering competitive prices for these second hand goods.
